The following 52 scriptures have been selected from The Holy Bible (King James Version), Book of PSALM, by Mrs. Dorothy Barron for the New Year to provide comfort, inspiration and consolation in troubling times:
- “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2).
- “I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me” (Psalm 3:5).
- “Stand in awe, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah” (Psalm 4:4).
